The Protekt 300 & Protekt 600  pressure redistribution mattresses by Proactive Medical are very similar. However, the Protekt 600 model is designed specifically with heavier high-risk patients in mind. The foam pressure redistribution mattress consists of many high-density foams that provide the user with an ideal level of support.  Its very top layer is made of high-resilient, high-density cut foam. This gives the Protekt 300 and Protekt 600 the ability to adapt to the user's movements, providing a superior redistribution of pressure and comfort. Next, Protekt added a heel section made of special Lura-Quilt foam which allows for air to circulate through the mattress in order to keep the patient cool and dry. Lastly, the bottom layer of the mattress is an ultra-high density, high-resilient foam. This material provides optimal stability and support to the user. The covers for the Protekt 300 and Protekt 600 are made of durable yet comfortable 4-way stretch nylon.
